Located in the picturesque market square of Dornoch, your themed room is situated in the new castle extension. The owning family hotel, has preserved the historic character of the castle while maintaining comfort.

Hotel restaurant :

Enjoy a candlelit dinner overlooking the castle gardens. The chef prepares traditional Scottish dishes using local and seasonal produce. The walls of the hotel bar date back to the 15th century, a great place to enjoy a nightcap. Outdoor seating on the terrace is possible during the summer season.

The courses

The Moray Golf Club :

Considered one of the best Scottish links, the first and last tees start and end in the town of Moray, providing magnificent sea views. The greens are not wide but are fast, and are beautifully maintained. Seven of the 18 holes are Par 4, and around 380 meters in length from the back tee! Rest assured the yellow and red tees are ideally placed, guaranteeing an enjoyable round of golf.

The Brora Golf Club :

Originally founded in 1891, today’s course has been opened since 1923. It has great sea views over Kintradwell Bay. Exceptionally course maintenance, the gorse flowers according to the season, which gives the golfer a feel of enjoying a long country walk. Sometimes, as often in Scotland, you will come across some cows and sheep on the course. Enjoy a local ale in the clubhouse terrace overlooking the 18th green.

The Championship course at the de Royal Dornoch Golf Club :

Play on a Scottish golf institution. The curve of the Dornoch Bay was the ideal place for this 70 Par course opened in 1877. The incredible maintained greens, provides the allure of this course. In Dornoch there is a very beautiful cathedral with colourful stained glass windows dating from the thirteenth century, recently renovated in the nineteenth century after a fire in 1570.
