This difficult back-tee course is much more affordable from the yellow and red balls, which can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels. Sea views are just one of the many attributes of this course. The first 9 holes of this PAR 70, 5735 meters in length course were created in 1894, the last 9 holes in 1906.
The Musselburgh Old Links :
Another legendary links, created between 1874 and 1889, enjoy a drink in the clubhouse dating from 1873. You will enjoy the sea views, beautifully designed fairways landscaped around dunes and the rough. The quality of the greens are outstanding, giving a carpet effect!
The Craigielaw Golf Course :
A golfers paradise a links in the purest Scottish tradition, a must in the Lothian region. Again the quality of the greens is irreproachable.
The North Berwick Golf Club :
Similar to the mentioned golf courses, this championship links has hosted in the last 6 years, many international tournaments. Six holes run along the sea, and sometimes at high tide the sea flirts with the fairways, which limits considerably game but provides a charming and lasting golfing memory of this course.
Surrounding area
Ideally located, the Motel is only 5 minutes walk from the train station and only 800 meters from the castle. For history buffs, Sainte-Marguerite Chapel, Half Moon Battery and the David’s tower are only a 10-minute walk away.
There are a large selection of bars and restaurants in Grasmarket Market Square, again only 800 meters from the hotel.
