The Ring of Kerry Golf Course :
You will enjoy this Par 72, also designed by Eddie Hackett, with panoramic views of the Kenmare estuary and a backdrop of mountains. Suits all types of players.
The Killarney Golf Club :
Remaining in this scenic region, this world renowned golfing institution is nestled within Irelands largest National Park on the shores of Lough Leane. The three golf courses will satisfy all golfing levels either through its technical challenges or by the enchanting scenery. The “Killeen” is considered the most complicated course, offering narrow fairways and many water obstacles. Mahony’s Point and Lackabane are more enjoyable for less experienced golfers.
Not to forget the panoramic views of the 19th hole, and the mythical club-house where local players enjoy a pint of beer alongside american billionaires.
The Dooks Golf Club :
Founded in 1889, it’s one of the oldest courses in Ireland. Staying in this stunning region of Kerry, this course offers a truly magical location with breathtaking views. On nearly every hole you will enjoy views of the Atlantic ocean and stunning vistas of the Macgillycuddy Reeks, the highest mountain range in the country.
The Surrounding Area :
It would be temping to say that the golf rules supreme in this region! But for lovers of nature and history Kerry offers many magnificent monuments worthy of a visit such as, Staigure Fort, Muckross Abbey and St Mary’s Cathedral. If you would like to take a stroll without your clubs, then head to the magical and relaxing Killarney National Park and the scenic trail of Sea Head Drive!
