St Andrews is full of restaurants. For a view of St Andrews’ Old Course, the ‘Rocca Restaurant’ offers front row seats. For an unparalleled sea views (reservation required) and freshly caught fish try the “The seafood restaurant”. Less chic but very friendly situated in the village is the “BlackHorn” restaurant serving excellent burgers. Finally, if you are looking for a real taste of Scotland ‘The Grange of St. Andrews’ is a charming restaurant where the food is delicious and the welcome is warm.

The Kittocks Course, St Andrews Bay Golf Club :

It is the architect Bruce Devlin who designed this beautiful Scottish links. On this 72 Par, offering breathtaking sea and city of St Andrews views from the cliff face, a real pleasure. The course is superbly maintained.

The Balcomie Course, Crail Golf Club :

This splendid links established since 1895! When the Scottish links were just starting to be designed, and courses were much shorter than those of today. Which is the case on this 69 Par course with an unusual course combination having 6 x 3 Pars, 9 x 4 Pars and 3 x 5 Pars. The holes 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 12, 14, 15, 16 and 17 all have an absolutely magnificent sea views! Some starting tees are located on cliff tops, making this a most enjoyable course.

The Eden Course, St Andrews Golf Club :

This 70 Par, 5715 metres in length course has been established since 1914. This links, neighbour of Old and New Course, highlights the wonderful sea views. Superbly designed bunkers and exceptional green maintenance.

Surrounding area

St Andrews, the former ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, is home to the ruins of Scotland’s oldest church, built in the 12th century. At the top of a cliff, the imposing ruins of St Andrews Castle dating from 1546 are open to the public.
