For lovers of fine dining, « Mark Jordan at the Beach », restaurant at St Peter is a must, serving top quality seafood dishes on the beach in a relaxed setting. « The Oyster Box Beach » at St Brelade offers the finest local seafood, in a relaxed, elegant environment at the edge of the sea. The grilled lobster is a taste bud delight. There are several other seafront restaurants, Jersey Crab Snack a bistrot serving local produces and seafood, lobsters, crabs …. is a friendly atmosphere and stunning setting. A more traditional British institution « Hector’s Fish & Chip restaurant » at St Hélier. One of the best on the island, so British.
The courses
The Mielles Golf Club :
Set in the beautiful St Ouen’s Bay, and with stunning views, this American style parkland course was created in 1976. From its many water features you will be able to enjoy the surrounding wildlife. The quality of its greens and fairways on this Par 70 will seduce the shorter drive players. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere of the clubhouse is not to be missed.
The Moye Golf Club :
This Par 72, 6166 metres in length course has spectacular sea views, created in 1902 the links style course jutting out from the high cliff face. This is a typical links course with rolling fairways and exceptionally maintained fast greens.
The Royal Jersey Golf Club :
This links style PAR 70, 5593 meters in length course was founded in 1878, the club received its royal mandate in 1879 from Her Majesty Queen Victoria. The golf course is laid-out on a cliff, giving it a good grip in the wind, the bunkers give some height to this relatively flat course. The greens are excellent qualities and the cheap rolled, advised.
De nouveau comme un petit air d’Ecosse avec ce links, un PAR 70 de 5593 mètres. Fondé en 1878, le club a reçu son mandat royal en 1879 de Sa Majesté la Reine Victoria. Le golf est posé sur une falaise, lui donnant une bonne prise au vent, le dessin des bunkers donne du relief à ce parcours relativement plat. Les greens sont d’excellentes qualités et le cheap roulé, conseillé.
Surrounding area
The Jersey War tunnels museum highlights the hard conditions on the island during the Second World War. Allow two hours for the visit, and a warm jumper! Access to the museum by bus leaving from Saint-Hélier. Elizabeth Castle situated on its own island is a must for history lovers, at low tide you are able to reach the castle by walking across the causeway. Jersey is a walkers and nature-lovers paradise! Not to be missed Saint-Ouen’s Bay, Howard Davis Park and La Grève de Lecq.
