The courses
The Albatros Course :
The former French Golf Team captain, Hubert Chesneau, started with a blank canvas to design a world class golf course in order to welcome some of the biggest golfing events, (The French Open and the 42nd Ryder Cup in 2018), his inspiration was to create a stadium: a golf course that would be able to receive great championships with ideal conditions for not only players but also spectators and the media. The golf course has the traditional feel of a links combined with water obstacles on nearly every hole, slick greens, vast undulating fairways with innumerable links-style bunkers.
Nick Faldo wrote after the first time he played the course, ‘difficult but honest!’ says everything! Nevertheless, the course has undergone many changes over the last few years, however it remains a long and technical course for professionals, but still accessible for amateurs.
The National Golf Course has been opened since 1990, the outstanding maintenance of its courses has already made it a world-class venue for golfing.
The Aigle Course :
The Aigle is similar to its sister course the Albatros. It’s also a Scottish style links course, with undulating fairways, great greens, and well-designed roughs. All efforts are made to ensure a quality course and with a high level of maintenance.
Surrounding Area :
Situated only 10 km from the ‘Château de Versailles’, one of the architectural jewels of French history, you will be enchanted with the beauty of its gardens, lakes, and groves without forgetting of course the mirrored gallery, the royal chapel, and the grand Trianon etc … With so many jewels, impossible to circumvent golfing pleasure and a cultural visit.
