Description :
The Belfry, where four Ryder’s Cups have been played, is home to some of the greatest sporting achievements of the last decades. Enjoy an exceptional break at one of the most beautiful Golf and Spa complexes in England, only a few kilometres from Birmingham in the heart of the English countryside.
The 4-star Belfry Spa Resort :
The Belfry Resort, nestled in the English countryside, offers luxurious rooms, bars and restaurants, a nightclub, a Spa and a outstanding Health Club. Not to mention of course, two incredible courses.
The spacious and bright rooms have a host of modern amenities for your comfort. All rooms have lovely views of the countryside and golf course. They are equipped with a wide-screen HDTV, ESPA toiletries, a hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities, a walk-in shower and free WIFI access.
Nothing like a superb Spa to unwind after a good game of golf. In additional to the hotel’s Spa, there is an ultra-modern gym, massage treatments, hot water pools with coconut soap for the feet, hot shower, ice-cold peppermint drip showers, a tropical rain shower, a caldarium, a steam room, a sauna, an igloo, and jacuzzis are available to help you relax.
Restaurants :
The hotel has no less than 4 restaurants and 3 bars. The “Ryder Grill” is a grill style restaurant offering meat and fish dishes, the “Ryder Kitchen” offers buffet-style dining in a relaxed atmosphere, the pizzeria “Rocca”, offers a traditional Italian menu, and the “Sam’s Club House” offers a British pub atmosphere and food.
The courses
The Belfry has over many years become synonymous to golfers around the world for world-class golf and luxury facilities. The golf courses have hosted the highest number of Ryder Cup matches to date. The 3 courses, designed in the North of Warwickshire countryside will provide you with a delightful golfing experience.
The Derby Course :
The Derby course is an honest, but forgiving course that will suit players of all levels. The course is landscaped in the English countryside guaranteeing beautiful views. It is worthy to note that the maintenance is world class.
PGA National Course :
This championship course has a links feel to it and is a challenge all by itself: with difficult and fast fairways, corrugated greens, streams and 70 bunkers shaped like “shell holes”, this is a demanding course if played from the back tees, easier for less confirmed players thanks to the well positioned forward starting tees. The course has been recognised by the PGA as a world class course. Again the course maintenance and quality of the starting tees and greens are of the highest standard.
Brabazon Course (80 euros additional charge applies) :
On this majestic course, the fairways are narrower, the greens fast and the bunkers superbly designed. Walk in the footsteps of renowned players such as Severiano Ballesteros or Sam Torrance with his winning 1985 Ryder Cup putt.
Surrounding area
Golf is not the only activity on offer here. Warwickshire, in addition to its beautiful countryside is the home of the town of Stratford, the birthplace of Shakespeare’s.
