St Andrews is full of restaurants. For a view of St Andrews’ Old Course, the ‘Rocca Restaurant’ offers front row seats. For an unparalleled sea views (reservation required) and freshly caught fish try the “The seafood restaurant”. Less chic but very friendly situated in the village is the “BlackHorn” restaurant serving excellent burgers. Finally, if you are looking for a real taste of Scotland ‘The Grange of St Andrews’ is a charming restaurant where the food is delicious and the welcome is warm.

The Castle Course, St Andrews Golf Club:
Opened in 2008, this is the most recent course at St Andrews. 6150 metres in length, this Par 71 is also the longest of the 7 golf courses at St Andrews. Offering magnificent sea views from its cliffs. Spend some time on hole number 17, whatever your score this long Par 3 will be etched in your golfing memory!
The New Course, St Andrews Golf Club :
Established in 1895, known as the little brother of the Old Course. Suffice to say that here you are walking and playing on a legend of a course. An unforgettable experience! This Par 71, 6055 metres in length classic links with wavy fairways, lined with a beautiful rough and greens that resemble a carpet. The maintenance is irreproachable and the views magic!
The Jubilee course, St Andrews Golf Club :
This is the third championship course at St Andrews. This 6162 metre in length, Par 72 course built in 1897 is wedged between the New Course and the sea. The maintenance of the course, the quality of its fairway and its greens are considered one of the best in the world.
The Championship Course, Carnoustie Golf Club :
Yet another legendary golf course that any golfer dreams of mastering one day. This links, situated between the sea and village is beautiful, with a outstanding course maintenance. If you can keep par on the last four holes, you will have a story to tell on the 19th!
The Kingsbarns Golf Links :
Another links in the purest Scottish tradition. This course is one of a kind with majestic greens, one of which is wedged between the sea and coast, on a peninsula. The quality and maintenance of this course is exceptional.
Surrounding area
St Andrews, the former ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, is home to the ruins of Scotland’s oldest church, built in the 12th century. At the top of a cliff, the imposing ruins of St Andrews Castle dating from 1546 are open to the public. There are many cliff walks to enjoy.
