The Amendoeira Golf Resort :

Located in the centre of the Algarve, the beauty of the region will amaze you. You will stay in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment is located on the ground floor and you can relax from your golf course on your private terrace. The 90m ² apartment is fully equipped with a washing machine, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, oven, electric hob and a fully equipped kitchen. There is a lounge and dining area, a bedroom and a bathroom. Flat screen satellite TV, air conditioning, DCD player, hair dryer, underground parking, and WIFI access. You will also have access to the resort’s swimming pool.

Restaurant :

The Garden Deck Restaurant serves a buffet breakfast indoors or on the large outdoor terrace.

The Amendoeira clubhouse serves meals throughout the day. Possibility to have lunch outside to make the most of the sunny Algarve weather.

Golf courses

The Oceanico Faldo Course is a Par 72, 6598 meters in length course designed by Nick Faldo. This championship course will enchant the most experienced of players and beginners thanks to a clever layout of the starting tees. The fairways are traced through fields of cacti and olive trees, the surroundings can be sometimes very green, and sometimes very arid. The first 9 holes are flat but the last 9 holes are rather hilly, which makes you want to come back and play this course again and again, the diversity of the landscape is impressive.

The Oceanico O’Connor is a Par 72, 6708 meters in length course named after the designer Christy O’Connor. A very different course from the Faldo Course, it’s on more fertile land and its main characteristic are the water obstacles. It’s bordered by old palm trees and offers an oasis landscape. Holes numbers 3 and 17 are sublime Par 3s! The fairways are wide and rolling and the greens maintained to a high standard.

The Oceanico academy is a 9-hole, 700-metre in length training course with only Par 3 holes. Designed especially for those who want to progress with their pitching wedge! Great for those who prefer to tee off using an iron, the course is lit up in the evening.

Surrounding area :

The natural sites of the Algarve are beautiful, including the “Ponta da Piedade”, next to the port of Lagos, with its spectacle arches, caves and extravagant cliffs are well worth visiting. Cape St. Vincent, a nature reserve where you can discover sea otters, herons, eagles and many other species. Tavira city, a town with 21 churches and a Moorish quarter dating from the seventeenth century in which you can enjoy getting lost on its maze of picturesque streets. Near your apartment, you have Silves Castle, built between the eighth and the tenth century. From its red walls, you can admire the whole city to the surrounding orchards. Of course, the city of Faro is also worth visiting with its historic center and magnificent cathedral.
